A NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR:



Since HEART Ministry opened it's doors, many women have been changed for the better.  I have 
personally seen the "light come on" in the eyes of hundreds of ladies.  These women come from all walks 
of life.  They come to us nervous and scared but as they adjust, they take on a new way of living. They 
learn that forgiveness comes through the blood of Jesus Christ. They begin to have hope.  Families are
restored and legal issues resolved.   
God has blessed me with years of being an eye-witness to what He can do if we let Him. Thank

A BRIEF HISTORY

Two brothers, Scut & Guy Mauldin, donated 34 acres of land to Tugalo Baptist Association. The purpose of this donation was to start a Christian based recovery program.  The land was accepted and a Board of Directors was selected. 

The search began for a Program Director to create the program.  Jane Sheldon was hired to fill this position on November 1, 1998.  After she developed the program clients were accepted as of January 1, 1999.  At that time, the facility consisted of a small farmhouse. 

Today, Heart Ministry has grown to include the original house, offices, three dorms and plans are being developed to continue with this growth.
